The 23/24 is better than 30/31 for me but I will try to go either weekend.

Could we dump this message boad and use yahoo groups? PLEASE? The advantage is that with Yahoo you get a message board AND have the option to receive all messages as e-mails! I would be happy to set it up and if nessisary administer it or turn it over to whomever. Just say the word cuz I never remeber to check this thing.

You might be onto something Roy. We actually have a Yahoo! Groups account. It's located at:

I guess I've heard way more complaints than anything about this message board, and I've received limited fanfare regarding it and it's use. People do seem to like emails though... It just might be time to drop this and revert back to Yahoo! Groups.

I don't want to make any quick and dramatic changes right away, but maybe we can discuss it more during our next meet, where we can get some feedback.

Hi Everybody,

This month, I've decided for us to take a nice day-trip along the Gorge. Saturday, August 30, at 10AM, we'll meet at Fort Vancouver in the parking lot there. For those of you who remember the Joint Oregon-Washington meets of past years, we'll be meeting at that same place. From there, we'll leave at around 10:30-10:45, head out Highway 14, towards "Stonehenge", maybe stopping by somewhere to eat, if anybody knows of a good place. We'll swing across the "Bridge Of The Gods" (could somebody tell me more about this?) and head back to the Portland area, or wherever home may be.

Well, it was brought to my attention that the weekend of the 30th is Labor Day weekend.... Since it is quite possible that many of you have some other plans for that weekend, I would like for you to reply to either here or [email protected] and let me know if you'd rather have the meet this weekend on the 23rd, or next weekend on the 30th.

My vote is for the 30th. What's yours?

Ok, well, I've come across quite a few people who seem to be busy both weekends of the 23rd and 30th. Because of this, I will set the date for our meet to be Saturday, September 6. We'll meet in Fort Vancouver, around 10AM. From there, we'll make the drive towards Stevenson, and grab a bite to eat somewhere along the way. We'll then cross the "Bridge of the Gods" and head back to the Portland Metro area (or wherever else) from there.

I'm sorry for all the mishaps in planning, but this is the final email. I promise. =o) Saturday, September 6, Fort Vancouver, 10AM. Mark your calendars!
